I wonder if there are only U.S. spec cars having this issue. Last time there was a huge recall action due to Vanos bolts for all N55 engined cars, but again at first in the North America. The European service didn't know anything about it. A few weeks later during the standard oil service they told me that my car needs to stay one day longer because it has to get new Vanos bolts.
I expect the same situation this time too. I am visiting my BMW Service next month and will ask about the fuel pump issue.
Btw. are they any differences in fuel pumps for N55 between US and European versions of 335i E9X?
