Exactly. Sounds like this person didn't do their own due diligence in researching the car he was buying. Making assumptions typically falls on the person making the assuming as the person at fault.
I'd look like a fool if I went onto a Ducati forum complaining about the recent routine maintenance bill I had to fork out. $1500 for the 15k service with a 10% discount. I did my research before buying this bike and didn't expect it to be like my ZX-10R which has had nothing but just oil changes.
It sounds harsh but this just seems to be another case of someone chasing a hood emblem.
