Yes...and use it lightly, very lightly. You could try and use 0000 steel wool, but it might leave steel dust behind, and sandpaper will dig in too deep, and will ruin the "brush".
Go only in one direct. You will not get rid of the scratch, you will knock down the edge that reflects the scratch only (similar to paint correction). The
Cape Cod polishing cloth should do most of the work...but not to the level of changing the surface to a "highly polished".
