ISTA has limit on the allowable reduction in height....I don't remember the value, but 20mm is the number that comes to mind....I'd have to fire up ISTA this weekend to check for you...but someone can weigh in to support or correct this claim.
It may try and lower, if the exceedance of the allowable adjustable range occurs, it will only cause the vehicle to use the previous "valid" values, not the new ones you entered....e.g. your new height adjustment will not "stick"
