To make matters worse, there isn't a rental sticker on it to give indication that I might not necassarily have WT taste in cars and may have just been stuck with it.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that all US cars are junk. I think Ford has put out some good product the last couple years, but this thing is terrible. Pray for speedy a speedy repair.
