Offering to respray the exterior or swap out the interior are fine offers, but if rejected, nothing short of either full reimbursement for the trip (documented airfare and accommodations) or a new car, the way he ordered it, is sufficient.
There HAS to be a way to make this work. If they can’t rush the interior (don’t see why!?); worst case scenario: have his car be the last to roll off the assembly line (sans interior), park it for two weeks and install the interior when available!
