“We had a long-time, three-generation customer celebrating their 75th anniversary,” said CEO Joe Sahlen. “I contacted Michele Beckman over at Steuben Glass to make an etched glass portrait of the three generations for us. Michele’s husband, Jon, was business development director for WGI at the time. The commission was well-received, and after discussion, Sahlen’s became sponsor of the race.”
