Delta, my son plays football and I can say there are few phenoms that could make a great college run. That said, I also see these same "minority" phenoms working out all year, pushing themselves (my house is behind an athletic field). Being curious, I ask my son about them and he says these kids think it's the only way to get a free ride into college.

I've travelled a bit in my life. For foreign countries, English is the language to learn. So unfortunately some countries only have the private schools teach English and the public schools don't get the same level of English emphasis. While I understand the merit of working hard, minorities don't always have the equal opportunities for education which puts them at a disadvantage.
