My car is at the body shop and I think I’d like them to replace the lower horizontal shadow line trim windowsill on my driver’s door.

I’m told the side view mirror and interior door card needs to be removed to replace the windowsill.

Seems excessive. Anyone know if this is true?

ALSO:

Can shadow line trim be polished / buffed to remove scratches, or would same cause more damage!?
