Alternatively, I know some people like the "clean" look with no badges. Most of time, it is on a 325 or a 525 (just by noticing the exhaust and rims). I think in these cases, they want you to believe it is a different model. I say be proud to own what you own - BMW's are terrific cars no matter what you drive. Sometimes (*cough* rarely) it's not about the horsepower - but the dynamics of the car.

I always have to laugh when I see BMWs (or other brands) with badges that clearly do not belong on that particular model. Like today. I saw a 318 de-badged and instead he put an ///M3 badge on the trunk. I wonder if in his mind it makes his car go faster
