I have a 2007 750I with 27,000 miles on it, the car is beautiful and maintained to the extreme, this car is not a daily driver it is a road car only, it acted up recently and would not start, it smelled of raw fuel, finally got it started by flooring accelerator during start procedure, car was fine after that, no idiot lights no error messages, I had already scheduled an appointment with my BMW center for service (oil change and early inspection 1 and multi point inspection) once there I told of the experience I had, also I drove this car for an hour to get to the dealer, 78 miles from home, car did great, the mechanic looked into the DME and found the event from the week before and cleared it, while on the computer the DME set another fault "VANOS" I was finally told Id have to leave the car because they didn't trust that the car would not act up again. Has anyone encountered this kind of problem?. I would like to hear from you if so.... I am covered on CPO until 2013.
