I've only been on one cruise, in 2007, and it was a 10 day disaster. My wife got sick with the noro-virus on the third cruise day in which one of the ship's engine failed, killing all refrigeration, including A/C for about 24 hours. Thank God for our tiny balconies, because the interior room people had no air circulation. The fifth day, I got sick, and they literally keep you trapped in your room, eating only shitty room service food, and of course puking/etc. for a minimum of 72 hours. My wife has Crohns disease, so she took longer to get over it, and was actually still sick, when they released us... at the ship's final destination; their little uninhabited cay where we got to snorkel for 15 minutes before they recalled everybody to the ship, for departure. Then we got bumped from our group of 6, in LA, on our return across country. Friggin' Princess.
