The F01 hood from its centre point is convex until you get closer to the fender then it rises gently before sharply following off to meet the fenders. I suppose in reality is does create a valley effect, albeit a small one.

You are correct.
I didn't have much time when I did my last post.
So I should add the following to my own post:
The hood contours of the cars do not look at all the same. The infinity has a far more pronounced valley, the fenders go right up to where they peak and then drop into the valley for the actual hood. The 750's fenders turn into the hood, then raise up (part of the hood not the fender) an ever so slightly turn down into a very very mild valley (if you can call it that).
