The US 740Ld is called a 730Ld in Germany. The US 535d also features the 30d engine, and the US 328d is actually a 320d.

This reminds me of how they sell the Z4 sDrive35i with smaller brake discs in the US compared to the rest of the world. It is a bit "funny"...
Its gotten beyond rediculous-and BMW are wondering why the diesels aren't selling! Buyers have certain performance expectation when they get into a car and this ensures the experience falls short
