Man the "rim of the world" highway is awesome. Just epic. I was constantly looking at the temp gauge to make sure it was above 40 deg when we were driving more spirited. On the way down from lake arrowhead to big bear I turned after a bridge crossing as it all of a sudden got slushy and a mustang had swerved off the road. Good thing no one was hurt. But for sure they had likely come around the bend and down the hill, not knowing the conditions changed suddenly and Sliiiiiip, bam! As long as one is cautious on the road its a great twisties to be on and you don't even have to break the speed limit at all - just focus on the turns and your speed (45mph is actually pushing it).
