i'd start of by changing the color a different gray and definitely due away with the semi gloss as it reflects way too much light. if anything due a satin in the bathroom and eggshell in your bedroom.
paint is Behr Marquee and the color i did in my son't room is Gotham Gray. goes really well with the white mouldings
in my MasterBedroom i went with a lighter shade of gray called Distant Star also Behr Marquee
in my MasterBatch i went with a Satin in the same color Distant Star. you can see how the light reflects just enough without the glare!
