We show you BMW Classic at the Techno Classica...
Essen, Germany
BMW Classic
put together another fantastic display of cars at the Techno Classica car show in Essen this year. BMW Classic never disappoints at this show! But what made this year's show even more special... most of the cars were privately owned by a BMW Club members in Germany. Basically every car, aside of the two M5's(new and old) a 3.0csi and motorcycle at the parts display and the white Mini Cooper - ArtCar(so to speak, bc it was hand drawn on during a rally meeting, by a black magic markers(Sharpie).
I'd like to thank the good folks at BMW Classic for arranging my press pass for this event. They always seem to pull off the impossible. I can't imagine what it takes to organize a car show of this size. Special thanks to the Classic Team.
BMW Classic is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the M1. Its hard to believe it's been forty years since the M1 debuted. And fifty year anniversary for the 2800. It was really cool to see so many new cars(to me) on display in the BMW Classic tent. What was also very cool was how BMW Classic wanted to share their new home with club members and visitors of the show. So as a back drop they had some nice huge photo banners hung behind the cars on display. So anyone visiting the Classic tent could also see what BMW Classic's new home looks like.
Another interesting thing about the cars on display was learning that BMW Classic sells cars too. I always knew they sell parts and offer restoration services... but they had a 3.0csi and a motorcycle on display that were for sale. Very cool.
I will also be making another photo thread with some of the interesting cars that I saw at the Techno Classic. The BMW Classic tent was pure heaven for me, though. The more I looked around the more I noticed small details of the car's on display.
So grab a seat and your favorite beverage and sit back and enjoy my pics. BMW Classic was also nice enough to let me share with you their professional photos that were taken at the show as well. But first here are my photos...
Enjoy,
Dackel
14 Halls of pure heaven!
40 Years of the M1...
These two M5's were brought over by BMW. One of the handful of cars not owned by club members.
Btw... inside the rest of the show I saw several e28M5's selling for over 110K euros. I guess they are the next e30M3's.
This silver 3.0csi and the motorcycle were also BMW Classic vehicles. Both were up for sale.
