On the streets a Cayman S is 90% of a GT4, and a 2014 with low miles and good options is like $50K. At $100K, the R8 V10 manual is a great buy. Unique engine with Italian heritage.

With patience, it is not hard to find a low mileage GT4 for $100K, but that car is way more fun at a track, especially with the gearing.

Sub 15K 991 GT3s can be found below MSRP, especially those without buckets, but with the PDK, that car is almost useless on the streets. The sweet spot in that engine is 7-8K in third gear, which is jail time.

Seriously, I would do a Cayman S or GTS and save the money or do the R8, which is a quasi exotic.

Manuals are dying...V10s also dying...a Cayman with some GT3 parts and standard 991 engine? They will be making those forever.
