The only thing in the release that is said to apply to existing vehicles is the hazard warnings in RTTI. The new tiling and other features are described for the new models from July on. If the new G30s have the same electronics hardware as existing G12's (since they are trying to build in modules this is likely), then it is possible that a G12 could be updated to new iDrive. The question is whether BMW will do it or whether it will become possible to code. As of now that is unknown.
