On your way back South... you really should stop by the
PS Speicher (museum)... The PS Speicher has something like over 400 vehicles(no Porsche's, but lots of weird German cars and bikes), mostly motorcycles though(East and West German!), but it's a GREAT museum! Four floors of automotive heaven. One of the largest and most modern museums, that I've been too. I am planning on a writeup as we speak.
Trust me, you won't be sorry you took the time to visit the place. Its near Göttingen on the A7 Autobahn.
