I had 2 E350s as well that i did a lease turn in. Saved me $1200 in disposition fees, $1k in damages on the cars, and forgiveness on some of the over mileage.
Overall about $3k in savings just from that. Hence why it made more financial sense for me to stay with Mercedes.
I could've gotten the S550 for $30k for 2 years, but I decided to be a bit more financially restrictive. 2 E350s for less than the price of 1 S550 (I needed two cars, so it would've been ~$40-42k if I got the E+S).
BMW also doesn't really do one-pay leases, so it was another reason why I stayed with Mercedes (I don't like having payments). Along with 24 months vs 36/39 months (longest I've ever had a car is 24 months...I can't imagine more than that).
I wanted to go back to BMW but it didn't make financial sense when all the numbers were considered.

I feel you on the 2 year mark. Seems like after 24 months you really start to get that appetite for something new. 1250/mo on a 24/mo S550 seems like a solid price. Haven't really looked into a Mercedes in a while so I was wondering what kind of deals they were making. Is that a reasonably well equipped S class at that price? Those suckers really get up there in price once you start throwing packages and options in the mix.
