Get some anti-chew spray. Sour apple works well for big dogs. Once they get a taste of it when they try and chew something, they don't chew again. Broke 2 pit bulls of chewing in one day with it. Both my pits were crate trained. "Kennel Up" and they'd go right in their kennels. Try the spray and figure out a way to make the crate a place your dog wants to be. Bed, maybe a chew toy.

I made sure as soon as I got home from work, they were out of the crate and running in the fields behind my house to get the sillies out.
