I had the same problem when I left mine crated up for 8 to 10 hours while I was at work. I noticed she became highly irritable as each day passed, would bark and snarl at me for no real reason (probably felt neglected). I tried to get her toys, but she would just destroy my things instead. Once I started putting her in the cage and only letting her out to cook and clean, I could tell there were some serious deep rooted issues going on (ie biting and destroying the furniture) so in the end I decided to just rehome her.
But on the plus side, I did get to keep the dog.
