First time in my lifetime the Italians won't be in WC. Hard to actually believe it. But, Ventura was a terrible manager and he didn't understand what it takes at the top level. The only thing the guy did was bring a team from Serie B to Serie A.
And the black balling of Gionvinco was a horrible mistake. You can't tell me that he wasn't better and deserved to be there among the 23 players. He would have made a difference. It's completely embarrassing and like the USMNT, they need to start bringing in younger players to rebuild. It really shows how great a job Conte did with this squad at the Euros.
