I finalized a deal to custom order my G12 earlier this week. When the dealer tried to configure the build, they could no longer place 2017 model year orders for individual colors. I now have to wait until next month, when orders for 2018 model year begin. Ever heard of them stopping individual colors before the end of the model year build?

Individual paint options on all models are currently adding 12-16 weeks on top of ordering (for the UK) however this is due to a worldwide increase in order, the message from BMW to us as retailers was that BMW are working with suppliers to prevent this happening in the future, I'm guessing if your man at your dealer was to try and order for a May build that it would allow him to place brand new order, just guessing though as there are different processes for outside of Europe.
