BMW's styling has always gone through this cycle: revolution, evolution, revolution, evolution

that said, this 7 is just an evolution of the old one, but i agree its really minor.

I think the problem is that BMW is going to be releasing the Concept CS as the new flagship BMW, and it will be the first new model to introduce BMW's new design language (the current 7 was the first BMW to usher in the current new look). I think the only design direction BMW has right now is towards the CS, and they didn't want to give away too much with the 7 and let the production version of the CS (most probably the 8 series) the upperhand and center of attention.
