Let me know if it does for others since I have a "special" beemer.
On another note.. I noticed on my BMW.. (maybe I should start on new thread on this) When i leave the Windows down, and set the alarm - If I put my hands inside the car - the alarm goes off - as if there is a motion sensor or something - is this normal???? OR is my beemer special???

That is the 'normal' and correct operation of your alarm system. It's also NOT a good idea if you leave pets in the car and activate the alarm without first disabling the motion sensor!
It should be covered in your owner's manual under arming and disarming your alarm system. It describes on how to go about disabling the cabin motion detector before you arm the alarm system.
