The net gain or loss is compared cumulatively with all vehicles. For fraction purposes, the 1886 goes in the numerator for vehicles sold this year, and 0 goes in the denominator for vehicles sold prior quarter or prior year end quarter.

I do think the 4 and 4GC are stealing marketshare, but the A4 is still doing formidably well, considering it's at the end of it's lifespan. I'm curious to see how the modestly improved F30 LCI stacks up against the brand new A4. Hopefully BMW offers some nice incentives to keep it's growth up with Audi's.
