It's peculiar why no Porsche & Wolff footage shows the camera images of Wolff's POV recorded at the critical moment that he lost control over the vehicle. The footage switches to Wolff onboard right before he spun off track.

Wolff did the Foxhole flatout. Either he pushed the car's balance over the tipping point and crashed without tire blowout or he misjudged the severe compression capable of puncturing his right rear tire at top speed. Being madly determined to clock a sub 7 minutes time, could have claimed his life. In both scenarios: pilot hubris.

The Foxhole (Fuchsröhre) has a bad reputation for pilot error accidents. Push over the limit in that dauntingly treacherous section and you'll become a passenger of your car.
