Currently my dad's 2004 E65 does not have MP3 capability.

I know '05 e90s and even early e60s can be retrofitted for MP3 playback per an SIB.

Do you think the 2004 e65 can be likewise updated to play MP3s with just a firmware update?

I talked to my SA at New Century and he said no that the 2004 chassis was too old. This struck me as a little odd cause isn't it essentially the same chassis sans facelift?

What do you guys think?
