I know it's possible, and I would blame the fact that I've only had this lens for just over a week and there's a pretty huge learning curve to it. Meaning, I wouldn't blame it as a limitation of the lens.
The verticals on the second shot aren't that distorted, are they? Just leaning back slightly, I think. It's all a function of making sure the lens is perfectly straight. Using tilt can bring in some distortion along with the DoF, so I have to learn how to compensate with lens position when using tilt.
I've got a lot to learn, that's for sure
