My dads house has a walk out. No patio and 4-5 steps down. He hasn't had any water and there have been some serious rains/snows. Now the yard drains away from the house pretty steep on that side. Yeah - when my area was smaller...this was definitely an issue. Not so much now that it's opened up. My neighbor still has a similar design to what I had, constantly running his leaf blower in that tiny area
