There is no user accessible slot in G12 cars spec'd for the USA since they all come standard with option SA6NW (wireless charging). The SA6NW option adds roof mounted TCB2 (
Telematic
Communications
Box) in the "fin" on top of the car -- an advancement first introduced in the F30 and now available in the new 7 Series. With this system, two integrated telematic antennas (TEL1 and TEL2) ensure strong LTE data reception. There's also an integrated backup emergency GSM antenna which now serves as a "hub" for the Wi-Fi hotspot in the car. The AT&T SIM card is located in this roof-mounted box and, therefore, is not user-swappable.
Extension of the trial period (and purchase of an AT&T plan) is all done via whatever device you've paired to the car.
