Even without keyless entry, this works. All you need is keyless start.

1MOREMOD are exactly right: she would have had no right to pull a gun as she put her own life in danger by getting on the hood, and if she did draw and these were hardcore gangbangers, they likely would have capped her (and, frankly, she's lucky that they weren't because 'dat Caddy is a favored ride for 'em.)
Bottom line: the woman was incredibly stupid and naive to act the way she did. She was exceedingly lucky.
