Of course it can be added, for a hudge cost though. I actually tried the system and didn't like it, it's awkward writing on a round surface, kind of like signing your signature on an electronic pad. With the voice recognition in the current unit you have, it will do everything faster anyhow. It's a cool feature but after using it, I can say I would prefer the iDrive without the touch pad
