It's possible they didn't replace the cv axle in the first place, but we won't go there.

The clicking while turning is the CV joint (axle) for sure.

I would ask them how/why you paid to have it fixed and now you have this other problem. It's tough to damage a ball joint unless you are removing it to begin with,unless someone stuck a tool thru the rubber, but usually a ball joint will cause an alignment issue, not cause the noise you are explaining.
