Among the FF games I've played (1-10, 13), it's somewhere in the middle behind 6, 4, and 7.

Chrono Trigger was hands down one of the best JRPGs ever made. FF6 and Chrono Trigger are my top two titles followed by Phantasy Star I (the game that drew me into RPGs). I also LOVED the Gold Box AD&D games for the PC/Amiga but some of you guys might be too young (or not nerdy enough) to remember them.
