Yes, because BMW are the only car manufactor that will have this tech... not!
The rules apply to the entire car industry, thus everyone will use whatever tech to fullfill those norms, but it is just a stopgap towards the EV.

The Roadster might not weight 2700 pounds but It can easily do 600 miles with a 200 kw pack.

Vote with your wallet because ICE is on its way out so hurry and buy a gas car while you still can. That Roaster is no joke.
Tesla's most advanced 200kw power pack weighed over 3500 pounds last year so I seriously doubt it's changed that much in a year lol . Adding 3500 pounds of fuel to any car automatically makes it the opposite of a "sports" car dynamically . Until it's in production I wouldn't call it a win for them , it's a lot of promise and little delivered at this point . No doubt it will be quick to 60 , but that does not make a great driving experience , dynamics does .
