I am a BMW service advisor. Loaners start their lives as any other new car and are added to our loaner fleet then become retired before they approach 5k miles. We are responsible for making sure that our fleet of 50 loaners are used equally so that we can get reimbursement from BMW for their diminished value and then they are removed from the loaner fleet and go for sale as demo cars and a new set of new cars become loaners. |
I've seen them over 10k miles and awaiting their first oil change.
