A stripper version of any car is not going to please a person who drives a BMW 7er. Ticking all the option boxes transforms the X1. Just the sound of the 6 vs. the 4 is a dramatic difference. Although I prefer my 750Li xDrive, I like driving our loaded 2014 X1 35i x-line occasionally. It is a powerful and nimble car for around town, and with all the options, it does not seem cheap to me at all.
