2017 Spec Honda Engine suffered from oil leak.
Mclaren had to swap out the Spec engine to a backup engine. Alonso was reported to be breaking 3 seconds before the brake zone hence the laptime.
As a Mclaren fan, I wouldn't blame Alonso if he took another seat in a competitive car. It's getting painful to watch.
