Selecting windows for new home

Have you guys had any experience with buying new windows?

I'm currently rebuilding my house and so far I've requested quotes for Pella Proline / Weather Shield Signature series / Jeld-Wen A-500 series / Andersen 400 series.

So far I've received quotes from Pella and Weather Shield and they were priced at $25k and $30k. My home is a modern home with a lot of oversized windows (more than 15' tall for some) and I was expecting little higher than normal but not this high.

Have you guys bought anyone of above and what's your thought?
I've read bad things about Pella for being aluminum spacer and creating condensation in winter that can be prone to rotting, but I'm sure that's not always the case as if it is, they will be out of the business and won't be regarded as a big names.

Please share your 2 cents.
