Not sure about the BMW speedometers. Mine have typically read about 5mph high at 70mph. BMW's stated "acceptable error" is something like 5mph plus 10% of the actual speed - so they won't do anything under warranty to correct it. My theory is they build one speedo, and calibrate it to the largest wheel they sell. Cars with smaller wheels will have speedo error. But I could be wrong?
Yep. As you get faster the difference gets bigger. Don't know why.
