Matter of personal preference. Nothing to do with taste vs money. Definitely wouldn't blend in with yet another 7 series on corp limo duty and that's a good thing !
Its ballsy, it adds character and takes the boring limo factor out of the 7 series. Fun and unusual (aka individual) color on a great car.
