I did not get a snap-in adaptor but my dealer informs me that one is available. I believe the only thing it adds is charging and possibly enhanced reception.
Im taking delivery of my car on Friday and its comming with a snap in adapter for the Blackberry Curve i'll let you know how i get on with the phonebook.
