Maybe I am one of the ones with not so many problems with his BMW's, but there is no comparison between the two. BMW might not be super reliable but are reliable.
Alfa is not even at the DECENT level! Try an issue or two per month, sometimes two per week!
As an ex Alfa owner and living among them in Europe with plenty of examples in my family members and friends I can tell you that you have no idea. Where I come from we call Italian cars gigolo: they might be appealing but disappoint you after. A lot.
