There's prolly no counterargument to that, unless you argue that the M3 will handle better and allow you to dodge anything and anyone coming at you...
On the other hand, if someone does run into you, or you run into something, then I'd prolly think the x6 is safer
Just tell your dad that you need an m3 because you can drive it faster before you actually crash in a corner, that should convince him.
