Well...You can be a douche while driving, as long as you don't attempt to kill someone. I mean, I get pissed at your average Pri-holes hogging the left lane while going 5-10mph under the speed limit, but they're not going to kill someone.

Crossing double yellow on a mountain road? Honestly, had neither one of us in the BMWs had over 20 years of experience driving and instructing on track? Both of saw him coming a mile a way and was able to swerve around a fast moving, 3,500 lbs object while maneuvering our own 3,500lbs object. Your average driver? I think we could have been dealing with fatalities here (I've seen drivers get object fixation and freeze up and STEER toward danger).

You're right though, there is unlikely to be any resolution even if I were to be able to confirm the license plate number. But it would put my mind at east to have done SOMETHING. Maybe next time CHP sees the same nozzle on Angeles Crest they'll keep an eye out to make sure he/she doesn't go out and murder someone.

That was easy lol
Actually the guys on NASIOC.com pointed me in that direction. I used to own an '08 WRX wagon and was active on that forum for about 5 years. It's a tight community and people are bound to know people.

I'm awaiting the Abarth guys to confirm the plate number before I make a determination as to what I want to do. Let's just say I'm still fuming that IF he/she had struck me, that would have left a 9 year old girl without a father, a wife without means to support the household, and two elderly, retired parents without support for his/her callus, careless, and reckless act on public roads.

If nothing else, I think people really need to be aware of the dangers of canyon roads and LEARN SOME ETIQUETTE. Crossing double yellow to pass is just a "see you next Tuesday" move.
