Yup, another instance of the ideal gas law at work.

At least Pirelli had calibrated gauges (unlike the logo/non-logo ones used by NFL officials that differed up to 0.45 psi).

And also unlike the NFL the tire temperature was also recorded (which perfectly explained blanket warmers that were not plugged in and the cooler temperature compared to Ferrari).

Although, like the NFL, why did Pirelli only check the first 4 cars (Merc and Ferrari) on the grid at the 5 minutes before mark? Very similar to the the NFL officials checking all 12 of the Patriots balls and only 4 of the Colts balls -- they simply ran out of time!
