Iy seems like this is inevitable, but there are gazillions of cars out there being driven by humans, and now autonomous gets inserted into that world. I just don't trust a computer to anticipate a completely irrational move by a human driver. It almost reminds me of a BBC April Fools Day some years ago where they said that Britain was going to switch over to driving on the right, but were going to do it gradually, starting with buses and trucks ("lorries").

Eventually the entire world will be autonomous driving, glad I won't live to see that. I enjoy driving (obviously not in traffic) so I wouldn't want that right taken away from me. But future generations they wouldn't care since they won't miss something they never need to learn how.
